Aedas Designs Rixos Al Reem Residences In Abu Dhabi For East & West Properties

Global architecture and design practice Aedas has designed Rixos Al Reem Residences in Abu Dhabi for East&West Properties L.L.C., marking the second Rixos branded residential development delivered through the partnership.

The project builds on the success of Rixos Financial Center Road Residences in Dubai, the first ever Rixos branded residences worldwide, also designed by Aedas. Following strong market response, East&West Properties has once again appointed Aedas to develop the next Rixos residential destination in the UAE, reflecting continued confidence in the practice’s expertise in branded living.

Conceived as a refined waterfront address, the development is strategically positioned to capture views of the sea and Abu Dhabi skyline. In response to the highly saturated urban context of Al Reem Island, often characterised by repetitive glass façades, the design adopts a more restrained architectural language, where simplicity becomes a defining gesture. The tower’s massing and façade are carefully articulated to optimise orientation, enhance residential comfort, and establish a clear, elegant identity within the skyline. At podium level, landscaped terraces and activated edges create a strong connection to the public realm, supporting pedestrian engagement and urban integration.

The collaboration between Aedas and East&West Properties reflects a shared ambition to deliver distinctive residential destinations that align architecture, hospitality, and lifestyle.
